The Bowery Mission has been transforming lives in the heart of New York City for more than 150 years. Friends like you keep this city's heart beating — and through our community, that compassion becomes lasting change for our neighbors in need. This summer, a special Match will double the impact of gifts received through July 31, up to $11,000.
Your generosity will provide even more meals, shelter, medical care, vocational training and other critical services for neighbors like Mayra. Homeless and overwhelmed by the impact of past trauma and abuse, she felt alone and helpless.
The spiritual and emotional support she received here was a turning point. Now, through vocational programs provided at the Mission, she plans to finish her master’s degree and looks forward to one day being a business owner.

Friends of The Bowery Mission have pledged a total of $11,000 to support our programs for people in crisis. This will be used to double the impact of gifts made through July 31, 2026. Gifts made after July 31 or in excess of $11,000 will not double in impact but will still help provide critical care for neighbors in need.
